I got accepted to Text Link Ads

I finally got my blog accepted to Text Link Ads. I hope that I can make some money on the content I post here at some point. They said that it is $10 to $25 per advert per month. If anyone buys ads on this site, I could be making a smallish, but fun bit of money here.

I will most definitely be making more money from this than from Google Adsense, which has been a total disaster. If TLA works out, I will probably end up removing all my Google Ads. They take up valuable space on this site, and I would probably be better off without them.

I am a bit confused as to how TLA works. Is it a given that someone will buy ads here, or is it only a possibility?

I think I will be posting more regularly here in the future, so don't remove me from your bookmarks yet...

Adsense doesn't make me much money

I have been unable to blog for a long time because of various school-related responsibilities and stuff.

I just checked on my Adsense earnings to see if my site was making any money in my absence. Unfortunately, since I first started using Adsense in April of last year, I have only made $15.

That means that I haven't even gotten a check from them, because they won't send me money until my balance reaches $100.

I am hoping that at some point I will make some more money here, because it would be nice to have a source of income that I needn't work hard for.

Weird Adsense

I got some pretty weird adsense on my blog tonight:

It is an animated image ad. That doesn't look anything like a regular Google ad. I wonder if this has anything to do with the purchase of DoubleClick?

Weird.

Clicking on your own Adsense

Ooops, I just clicked on my own Adsense, which is against the agreement. What do I do if I am really actually interested in the ad that is on my site? For instance, the one I clicked was for Widgetbox, a directory of web widgets for blogs. Now, I am always looking for stuff to add to my sidebar. What do I do in such a situation???? So, Blogger people, please tell me. In the meanwhile, I will be looking at some neat widgets
