Global Coolness: Carbon-Neutral Is Hip, but Is It Green? [NYTimes]

I just read a rather interesting article on the New York Times, entitled Global Coolness: Carbon-Neutral is Hip, but Is It Green?

It basically talked about how while major businesses and even politicians and movie-stars are claiming that their operations are 'carbon-neutral', justified by them spending money on 'green' energy in order to counteract their emissions. The article went on to say that it is like the Catholic Church all over again, with paying money for 'indulgences'.
