New Zoho Show

Zoho are really one of the fastest improving Web 2.0 companies around. Just the other day, they released a new version of Zoho Show, which is way faster, has a better user interface, and has more features. Also, it doesn't seem to be using flash anymore to render geometric shapes, something I seem to remember it doing in the past.

Features I would like to see in the future:

  1. Slide transitions
  2. Object builds
  3. Special effects
  4. &c.

Anyway, thanks Zoho for innovating! And remember: Zoho Show is way better than Google Presentations...

Waiting to see who picks up SlideRocket

I am extremely surprised that no one has purchased SlideRocket yet (helloooo, Adobe, are you there????). I have been playing with it a lot lately, and have been extremely impressed.

Now, mind, I don't have any need for presentations, so my use of Sliderocket is merely self-entertainment, with fun, pretty animations, etc.

To give you a look at some of the fun things you can do in SlideRocket, such as neat animations, take a look at this unfinished presentation I made regarding my equally unfinished translation of Beowulf:

Perhaps this in it self is the best feature: the ability to embed SUPER-HIGH-QUALITY, Keynote-like presentations in a flash box on a blog, or a website. I mean, come on, look at those awesome slide transitions, and build effects!

Sithen erst I began to salivate over SlideRocket, waiting for my invitation, I thought of how cool SlideRocket would be if it were couple with a more mature app like Buzzword. SlideRocket and Buzzword are really in the same space, just for presentations and documents respectively.

Ever since Adobe purchased Buzzword, I have been thinking that it would be a great idea for them to snatch up SlideRocket too, while they can. SlideRocket, as it matures, is quickly becoming one of the coolest things on the net, and Adobe would be wise to add it to their collection.

Google Releases Google Presentations!

Update: Please Digg me!!!

Don't you just love Google? Always releasing products when nobody's looking.

OK, that was fun. I love dragging people in with 'truthy' headlines. But, in all reality, it might be real.

Read/WriteWeb reports that ShareMethods is launching an open mashup of various web services for a web office called ShareOffice. It integrates iNetWord, Preezo, and EditGrid.

All would be fine and dandy if the screenshot they included for Preezo weren't incredibly suspicious:

Read/WriteWeb accidentally uncovers Google Presentations

It looks exactly like Google Docs, except it is a presentation app. Here is a screenshot of Google Docs:

Could this be Google Office? Could Google be working with Preezo?

I checked out Preezo, but it is private, so I can't get an invite for a while. But I did find a screenshot of the actual program:

Unfortunately, however, this doesn't seem to be the only look of Preezo. Check out this screenshot from Salesforce:

More updates later.
